What a fantastic vacation this is turning out to be. I haven’t been near the computer to do much more than post pictures since we’ve been spending most available time out in the air. We’ve tackled new mountain trails, explored farm roads (and found fresh farm eggs!), picked berries, tasted local-global fare, played and explored and made the most of each day.

The past couple of days were spent camping at a new site up a different mountain and in an area that we hadn’t yet explored. Given the unexpected deep-cold of the nights, we came home a night early but still filled the days. The trip was shared with J’s brother and family, and the little-big boys couldn’t get enough of lake fishing and tree (also known as ‘castle’) climbing. It was one of those experiences that took a ton of prep and time and dirt and energy, but was altogether worth it.
