darn dora

Dora Dora Dora….

Dora is in dire need of an intervention.
As it stands this hour, Dora isn’t gonna make it in this town.

She really is the sweetest thing; so tiny, so bright, so unique.
But this gal can scream.
And scream.

If we knew all the neighbors were away for a week or two and she had time to bleat and yelp and settle in without fear, and if we could guarantee that she wasn’t going to have a ‘relapse’, and if….

But we can’t.

She’s locked up, sad and alone.

I’ve contacted three little goat farms and am trying to find someone who would love a sweet little mama like here, but with neighbors who aren’t light sleepers just a window away. So far I haven’t heard back. We really only have a day or two before someone around us goes crazy.

Yeah. A sad twist in our little town-farm story.

Anyone interested in a little dairy doe?

  1. Maybe the Gazoo? Or maybe they would at least have heard if someone is looking for a dairy goat?

Wow, that’s a lot to handle. Ask for advice when you go to the farm for the chickens. They probably have many stories from having all their animals. Hopefully we’ll sneak a peek of your own little gathering farm & that it all works out soon.

This may sound crazy, but in terms of getting her to settle….I had a pygmy goat that used to bleat and bleat and for a few nights I would sit out with him and settle him almost like a baby…sing and hold or pet him… so if you want the neighbors to really think you are crazy, you might try it.:) Or try a radio playing music.

Do you think she would get on well with Buddy? (-:

I’m surprised the person you bought her from didn’t mention the screaming… )-:

Thoughts? Comments? Hmm....
